Stained shirts into new shirts

Madisyn has a couple of shirts that have stains in them that I can't get out so I decided to create something out of them since they still fit her and this is what I came up with.

Heres my supplies along with scissors, rick rack, needle and thread as well as a sewing machine.

I cut out shaped hearts out of the fabric and interfacing, and ironed it onto the shirt over the stain. Then I hand sewed the heart onto middle of the shirt. After I completed that, I sewed the ric rack on around the heart.

and tada a new top for her to play in.

I am still playing with idea of two of the hearts on the bottom of the top but not sure yet what do you guys thing about this?

1 1/2 yards of 2 pieces of fleece
yard stick
good pair of scissors

Put both pieces together and trim the outer parts to make both pieces the same.

cut the corners out, I used 4x4 dimensions

and then cut stips

then tye the stips into knots

and then you have a finished no sew tye blanket
