The pajama pants that got reused for something.

I have been saving a pair of pajama pants that have been in my laundry room for oh I don't know how long, with a hole in them and I knew that I couldn't fix them for me to wear them again. So I decided to use them to make madisyn a pair of Pajama pants and I wasn't sure if there would even be enough material to make her a pair, because of the location and how big the hole was in them, but there was enough so I made her a pair. She was so excited to wear them when I tried them on her to get a length for the ruffle on the bottom that she didn't want to take them off. So now she has a pair of incomplete pajama bottoms that she refuses to take off. Oh well at least she likes them and wants to wear them unlike the pillowcase dresses or anything like that.

Stained shirts into new shirts

Madisyn has a couple of shirts that have stains in them that I can't get out so I decided to create something out of them since they still fit her and this is what I came up with.

Heres my supplies along with scissors, rick rack, needle and thread as well as a sewing machine.

I cut out shaped hearts out of the fabric and interfacing, and ironed it onto the shirt over the stain. Then I hand sewed the heart onto middle of the shirt. After I completed that, I sewed the ric rack on around the heart.

and tada a new top for her to play in.

I am still playing with idea of two of the hearts on the bottom of the top but not sure yet what do you guys thing about this?

Re-usuable sleepers

We have a bunch of sleepers that we had cut the feet out so that we could turn them backwards so that way madisyn wouldn't keep taking her clothes off at night time and leaving a mess for me to clean up in the morning. Madisyn has finally grown out of this stage of taking clothes off at night time, and can now wear cute pjs to bed. But what am I supposed to do with about 16 sleepers with no feet in them I don't want to thred them on thredup because they aren't thredable. Oh I know I will re-use the material and make something with them. And here is one reusable product from a sleeper that we had. A hat. Be careful that you don't cut the zipper in with your part of the folded side you have to do one side at a time so you don't get the zipper involved in the hat.

The Goals for the new year

First off I would like to say Merry Christmas to all and hope that everyone had an outstanding Christmas.



My children loved all of their Christmas presents and now that the day is coming to an end. Madisyn is sleeping worn out from the joys that santa and family has brought her, aiden relaxing to nice and fun toy story 3 movie that Grandpa and Grandma Watson got him along with playing with all of the many toys that he got from santa as well. And I sit here and type I wonder what 2011 will bring to us who knows maybe will win the lottery but in order to win you have to play.



As 2011 approaches pretty quickly this year these are my goals for the year whether or not they come true we shall see in 2012 right.



1. I would like to invest in a new camera since ours is getting a little outdated and I would like to be able to take better pictures of my children maybe one of these will do.

2. to get in better shape and back to my before children weight 5 years ago. So with the help of rejoining weight watchers and doing the p90x I should be able to accomplish this goal.

3. To sew more dresses for madisyn this year with the help of these books.




4. To save money: to reach this goal I plan on putting away a certain amount every month as a savings amount and also putting away what I save at the grocery store or whatever store by couponing.

5. And last but not least I am going start saving for my childrens college by putting $5.00 in each of their accounts each week or 20.00 a month depending on the circumstances.

6. To keep on top of all my surveys that I do maybe if I am able to do them all I will earn a littl bit more money this year.


These are my goals so far for the next year coming up I may change them or update as I think more things or accomplish many of them but these are things that will probably not be finished for awhile so wish me luck as we go forward to the new year and I hope that everyone has a great upcoming new year.

yea, I have finished my first apron for maddie

Out of the many many projects I have going on right now I have completed one of them (well I still need to put the ribbon on the apron but its half done). I am pretty proud of how this project turned out I was expecting it not to turn out. I had messed it up in the beginning when cutting the fabric but I just decided to go with it. And tada it came out a lot better than i had anticipated it to.

Apron starts

I worked on madisyn's ladybug with daisy cooking apron last night for seems like forever only to find myself staring at it wondering if it could look a little bit better than what it did so heres the beginnings of my apron that I made.
